This coastal-inspired interior combines modern and playful, artistic elements to create a unique Californian aesthetic. The bathrooms and kitchen show off one-of-a-kind sinks and a custom foot bath. In one bathroom, the raised rectangular cast concrete sink and countertop are stained a bold, deep purple and are surrounded by recycled metal tiles. The attached vanity cabinets are Ecowood veneer and shaped with curved organic lines to bring out the geometric corners of the sink. This shower in this bathroom is done in purple hues to match the bold color of the sink. Lumicore recycled glass panels surround a glass tile mosaic with irregular vertical lines and a shower floor covered in Venetian flat cut pebbles.
Another bathroom is designed around an integrated sink carved like a banana leaf, also done in cast concrete this time stained a dull gold which brings out the yellow in the vertical grain bamboo cabinets below. The kitchen also boasts a unique textured copper sink that pops surrounded by dark quartz countertops and a recycled metal tile backsplash. Varied textures and straight geometric lines offer a colorful contribution to the bold, nature-inspired modern aesthetic throughout the house.
Throughout the house the floors are done in DuChateau vernal white oak which varies from light honey to greyish tones. Stair banisters are decorated in reclaimed teak tiles while in the living area, a decorative Emzer dry stacked stone mural wall is flanked on either side by large picture windows. All of the doors are finished with rosewood veneer and decorated by stainless steel inlays.
