The interior of this seaside retreat was done in a subdued coastal California beach house style. The kitchen has light sand-colored Caesarstone quartz countertops, a recycled glass mosaic tile backsplash in browns and tans, and alder cabinets with dull amber tones. The adjacent living room has a similar beachy theme with a stacked stone fireplace, built-in alder cabinets that match the kitchen and recycled UCL wool carpeting. Overall the open living area makes use of natural sunlight to highlight its light subdued colors and enhance the feel of a seaside retreat.
The hallway is slightly darker with strand woven bamboo floors in Java, but maintains the aesthetic of the living area with white walls and tones that match the cabinets. The bathroom also reflects the light, natural style of the front room. The counters are Bretagne Blue Vertrazzo recycled glass over paint-grade Shaker cabinets finished with light blue no-VOC paint. Recycled ceramic tiles mimic the look of a very pale, greyish wood floor to complete the aesthetic of seaside relaxation.
