As an environmental company that sells homeopathic remedies, this remodel is done to reflect the client’s commitment to a high-quality product, earth-friendly practices and community well-being. The entrance to the company’s offices is painted with no-VOC paint in bright green, white and black which contrast to grab attention and promote an impression of vibrancy. The interiors of many of the individual offices and workrooms are painted in similarly bright colors with the same objective. All the doors are manufactured by our door company from bamboo, and the interior ones incorporate glass panels, making the interior of the building appear a little larger and more open. The break room kitchenette features simple paint grade cabinets and a bamboo butcher block countertop with a recycled paper Paperstone splash guard around the sink. The floors in the majority of the building are sturdy, commercial grade navy EcoPoxy which contributes to a subtle color-block aesthetic.
The company headquarters also features a meeting area and lounge enclosed by an indoor plant box with a hidden, built-in drainage apparatus. The client wanted plants to have a significant presence in their offices in order to improve indoor air quality and add to the nature-focused aura of their company. The box is built from reclaimed maple flooring and encloses an alcove with a chalkboard. The floor of the alcove is Mohawk recycled nylon carpet tiles in greenish-grey tones. The area is subtly conducive to a spirit of creativity and collaboration that reflects the objectives and commitments of the company itself.
